Alder*Rose Dairy Goats is a family started herd that
is comprised of LaManchas, Saanens, Alpines, a token Nubian, and a few Recorded
Grades. We have been breeding under this herd name since 2004 and are
lucky to live in the beautiful lush green Willamette Valley of Oregon.
We are striving to produce
animals that are sound, high producing, easy going, show winning and
that function over a long productive life. We slowly but surely are
progressing our animals towards this goal and are extremely happy with
our herd's success. (2 National Champions as of 2025!)
With my busy life, I still
try to get out to at least 4 shows a year and have attended the 2005,
2007, 2009, 2012, 2015, 2019, 2023 and 2025 National Shows.
I am pleased to share our
Token Nubian: GCH Showtime SO Pollyanna 1*M was 2023 ADGA NATIONAL
CHAMPION AND BEST UDDER and went on to appraise LA 5-06 94 EEEE in
2023. (this is the highest recorded appraisal score for a Nubian
in the history of the breed)
Update for 2025-I am honored
to have our Saanen: GCH Alder*Rose New Italian Rain 4*M selected for the
2025 ADGA NATIONAL CHAMPION WITH BEST UDDER.
Success is an ever changing
journey but improving the breeds i work with is my constant goal.
I have been very fortunate to have a highly competitive show circuit to
compete against and I feel that this competition has greatly shaped how
our herd has turned out, and I am pleased to have done a fair share
of winning!!
My animals have been on DHIR
and have been linear appraised frequently since 2007. I continue to
maintain a CAE negative herd and my animals are tested annually (all
negative again in Spring 2025), as well as being CL free.
I have a fair amount of
knowledge and enjoy judging for ADGA as well.
Please enjoy
browsing our website and feel free to contact me for more information.
